About SKY Group

A job you love to talk about.

An 80s start-up from West London to Europe's biggest entertainment and communications network. You know what we believe, so join us and make it better.

With 24 million customers across six countries, Sky is Europe’s leading media and entertainment company and is proud to be part of the Comcast group. Our 32,000 employees help connect our customers to the very best entertainment, sports, news, arts and to our own local, original content.

Our technology allows Sky customers to watch what they want, when they want, how they want and connects millions of people to content they love. And our online streaming service, NOW, brings viewers all the enjoyment of Sky with the flexibility of a contract-free service.

We also believe that a company of our scale has a responsibility that goes beyond our business, and into the community. We recently announced a series of commitments to help tackle racial injustice and improve diversity and inclusion. To ensure the commitments are delivered, Sky will invest £10million per year across its markets for each of the next three years.

Mission: Believing in better is how we approach everything we do.

Diversity Programs & Initiatives

We celebrate diversity. Because different people, with different perspectives make Sky a better business. Our customers are incredibly diverse, so we should be, too. That’s why we’re working hard to build an inclusive culture, where you can be yourself. Whoever you are. Wherever you’re from.

To ensure the commitments are delivered, Sky will invest £10 million per year across its markets for each of the next three years. We’re committed to being Europe’s first net zero carbon entertainment company by 2030 – two decades before we have to – and we’re an inclusive employer recognised by The Times and Stonewall for our commitment to diversity.

Employee Networks

Employee networks make Sky an even better place to work. By connecting communities and empowering everyone to be themselves.

  • Parents@Sky – developed and run by working parents to support families across Sky. With access to an online forum, website, webinars, workshops and all the latest information.
  • LGBT @Sky – provides professional and social networking opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all identities.
  • Women@Sky – a network of over 1000 of our people which provides opportunities for women to connect with others across the business, share experiences, develop and be inspired by role models from inside and outside of Sky.
  • Muliticulture@Sky – celebrates all of our difference. And focuses on building an environment where people from a black and minority ethnic (BAME) background can achieve their potential.
  • Body&Mind@Sky – ambition is to raise awareness and encourage the open discussion of mental health, disability and long term illness so at Sky and beyond, stigma and silence are replaced by understanding and acceptance.
  • Armed Forces@Sky – supporting and sharing experiences for those who have served, and currently serve, our country; and all those connected with the military.

Bi-Visibility Day

It takes courage to bring your full self into the working environment. To allow yourself to feel vulnerable and express the true essence of who you are with authentic clarity.

On Bi-Visibility Day our LGBT+ network provides a supportive space and a platform for our people to feel secure and empowered to be who they want to be.

Inspiring. Uplifting. And providing the motivation to inspire change.

Contact Centre

At our Contact Centres, we’re committed to enabling our people to find a life/work balance that meets their needs – so that they can manage their stress levels and be the best they can be.

Sales Manager Louise Docherty takes us on a brisk walk and talk to tell us how she looks after her wellbeing, on a daily basis.

Sky is in the business of media and entertainment but at its heart, we are increasingly a technology company. Whether it’s delivering iconic shows to the homes of our customers, improving the speed of our broadband service, building engaging apps for all our services, protecting the company from cyber threats or arming our employees with everything they need to do great work, our Technology teams are at the centre of making Sky a success.

Nini’s story: After being made redundant just as the global pandemic reached the UK, Nini would have been within her rights to feel a little bit sorry for herself. Instead, Nini’s internal GPS kicked in and she set course for a career in tech.

Today, she’s one of our brilliant Site Reliability Engineers. Here’s her story…

Home Service

Different homes. Different customers. Always on the move, every day is different for our Home Service Engineers. We install the latest Sky technology. Give our customers access to their favourite shows. And make broadband a breeze. If you’re a people person looking to learn new skills, we’ll give you what you need to fit right in.

Sky Connect

Making connections. It’s what we do. It’s our job to provide small businesses with a better broadband experience. Whether that’s talking directly with business owners in our contact centres, running nationwide marketing campaigns, or in the field installing the latest tech. We’re looking for passionate, ambitious people to help small businesses succeed.

Our values Inclusive:

Our strength lies in our differences, not in our similarities. We've created a working world at Sky Connect that belongs to us all.

We work in a fast-paced start-up environment and are looking for exceptional people to grow and develop alongside our business.

We have the freedom and trust to do our best work and achieve brilliant things. We collaborate and support each other and help everyone to grow. Because… we’re better together.
