Technology Service Delivery Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Services Delivery Manager to join the Tech & Ops team.
The Technology and Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering first class technical solutions to the business. The team members are proactive, responsive business enablers that deliver competitive advantage by choosing, implementing, and supporting the use of information technology. They take ownership of delivering the day-to-day workload, as well as exciting transformative projects. They are a delivery focused team and have great relationships with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers.
The UKTV technology team are geo-graphically dispersed with bases in Leeds and the HQ in Hammersmith, London.
In this role you will get to:
  • Experience and contribute to the UKTV creative culture, working with a diverse and talented team, delivering innovative cloud native systems that run UKTV¿s broadcast media supply chain. Alongside the wider technology business systems that allow UKTV’s userbase to function.
  • Help drive business transformation, be a key collaborator in defining and implementing UKTV’s approach to agile delivery of software. Work with multiple suppliers across a diverse set of services as we innovate the delivery of broadcast television operations.

We are looking for someone who has:
Passionate about technology delivery and can help us to drive delivery at pace, by striving to continuously improve without impacting critical business activity. You are pragmatic and can work with others to influence and build consensus to deliver the desired outcome. You are diligent and detailed focused; you will measure what we do as a department and be instrumental in promoting a focus on what are we doing well, and what we can do better next time, based on data.
Who you are:
  • Experience in implementing, maintaining, and overseeing industry standard documentation frameworks for technology change, release and incidents (e.g. ITIL)
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with and influence, a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders of differing skills and knowledge levels, and organisational seniority
  • Pragmatic, flexible attitude – unfazed when things do not always run smoothly, with demonstrable experience in changing approach where necessary to still achieve the required outcomes
  • You enjoy collaboration
  • You are adaptable with a “Can Do” attitude
  • You care about the team, with a focus on what you can contribute to make UKTV a great place to work
  • You are quality focused, eager to learn, to expand your knowledge of the domain as well as tech stack
